General Guidelines for the appearance of the uniform
- Ensure that uniform is clean, neat and well-maintained.
- Ensure the uniform fits well. It should neither be too tight nor too loose, too short or too long.
- Wear the complete set of uniform as prescribed by the school.
- Wear the appropriate shoes as specified by the school. Keep them clean and polished.
**Special Occasions or Events:**
- Follow any special instructions provided by the school for excursions or events where a modified uniform or specific dress code is required.
Hair:
- Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied back.
- Exaggerated hairstyles or hair colors, as well as excessive makeup, are not permitted.
- The Principal may exercise discretion in determining whether a student has breached these guidelines in certain circumstance
- Items of jewelry that could pose a danger to a student during learning or playtime are not acceptable.
- Earrings, in particular, are considered risky, given the potential for them to be pulled out during active times. Hence, only a single small stud for ear piercings is deemed appropriate.
- No other visible body piercings are allowed.
- Black leather school shoes - both traditional lace-up or athletic styles are acceptable.
- Athletic sneakers should only be worn on sport days. Black full leather shoes are required all other days.
- Skate shoes or casual street wear are not acceptable.
- Hats are worn outside at all times in Term One and Four.
- Bathers with sleeves or swimming shirts must be worn on pool days if using an outside pool.
- Shoulders must be covered on casual dress days in Terms one and Four.
- Non-school winter jackets can be worn to and from school on cold days but can not be worn in school. Students will be asked to put them in their bags.
